Rebuilding Together Bryan / College Station is thankful for the many volunteers who help us carry out our mission by donating their time and skills to help homeowners in need. We have volunteer opportunities for large or small groups. Here are a few of our key volunteer roles.

Safe at Home Volunteer teams

The Safe At Home Program is a year-round maintenance program that provides homeowners with critical, mission-focused home repairs. Safe At Home Volunteer Teams will commonly complete small-scope, pre-planned, home repairs such as painting, porch and wheelchair ramps, windows, landscaping, uncluttering, etc. and no electrical work, plumbing, specialized carpentry skills. Skills such as electrical, plumbing, roofing, etc. will be addressed by skilled and qualified contractors. Due to insurance and Rebuilding Together affiliate requirements, the minimum age for on-site workers is 14 years old.

Volunteer team captains

Volunteer Team Captains lead projects for sponsored Safe At Home Volunteer Teams and are usually skilled in home repairs and have experience with volunteer and project management. This opportunity is year-round and can accommodate a flexible schedule.

Project Day Volunteers

Project Day Volunteers are where the rubber meets the road! We have roughly 2,000 people volunteer with us every year. Typically, these volunteers will work along side a larger team that provides the sponsorship funding for a RTBCS project. Due to insurance and Rebuilding Together affiliate requirements, the minimum age for on-site workers is 14 years old.
